Overview

A leading media barter agency is seeking a commercially astute and relationship-focused Client Director to join its high-performing Client Services team. This individual will play a key role in managing and growing revenue across a portfolio of UK-based clients, with a particular emphasis on independent media agencies.

This is a high-impact, client-facing role that demands a confident communicator with a deep understanding of the media landscape and a strong track record of generating revenue. The successful candidate will be comfortable owning strategy, driving new business, and collaborating across internal teams to deliver best-in-class service and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with independent media agencies, ensuring consistent revenue growth

  • Lead on new business development, identifying and converting commercial opportunities

  • Educate clients and partners on media barter and the value it delivers

  • Present solutions confidently to key decision-makers across client and agency businesses

  • Liaise with internal teams (Media, Commercial, Finance, Goods & Services) to deliver seamless service

  • Encourage proactive engagement with media opportunities and strategic plans

  • Keep stakeholders updated on campaign performance, trading activity, and contractual matters

  • Maintain accurate client records and pipelines through internal systems

  • Report regularly on client performance and business development activity to senior management

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the media industry, ideally in client services or sales

  • Proven ability to hit or exceed commercial targets

  • Strong network and experience working with independent media agencies

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

  • Confident in leading client conversations and pitching for new business

  • Self-motivated, resilient, and commercially minded

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team

  • A strong understanding of media trading and a curiosity for media barter models
