Overview of job

A brilliant opportunity to join our client's award-winning Insight team in a pivotal new role, with the overall objective of ensuring that insight remains at the heart of the company's commercial processes and outputs. The role of a Senior Research and Insight Manager is threefold –

  1. To play a pivotal role in the development of research and insight initiatives that drive growth across the audio and digital products
  2. To lead work with the Data & Product team to integrate insight into the digital sales process and expand demand for their digital audio advertising inventory
  3. To feed into the development of media planning and insight tools that put evidence, insight and data at the heart of their commercial processes

Responsibilities of the role


  • Develop and implement an overarching plan for insight support for the Commercial and Planning teams, to ensure they are providing high quality, relevant insight information to help the key stakeholders deliver against revenue targets
  • Working with the CI Management team to ensure successful the development and delivery of  Media Planning platforms/tools
  • Development of a marketing leading measurement suite of new research methodologies to enable us to develop their knowledge of digital audio & DAX OOH and clients’ campaigns
  • Working with the Data & Product team to develop an integrated output for clients that combine insight and data to provide unrivalled solutions for their clients
  • Responsible for managing the Commercial Insight Data & Planning team to ensure that they are providing an outstanding service to the Agency Teams they service and are delivering insight in a professional format and are delivering against their Spotlight objectives
  • Responsible for managing the digital research budget and how it is allocated to research projects across the year
  • Involvement in negotiating cost effective deals with our ad effectiveness suppliers with CI Management team

What you will need

The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:

  • At least 5 years’ research or insight experience, ideally in a media environment
  • Have the ability to inspire, gain respect, credibility and rapport amongst all types of internal and external stakeholders
  • Have an engaged, inquisitive and open-minded approach to research and analysis
  • Ability to apply a creative application of insight findings & techniques to produce compelling sales arguments to the Commercial Teams
  • Capability to bring research findings to life in creative and innovative formats
  • Ability to present research/insight findings to external stakeholders and at conferences
  • Experience of negotiating contracts & managing budgets
