Role

You will be joining the Professional sales team, heading up the team looking after the major trade bodies.

The successful candidate will inherit a mixture of new and well-established accounts.

The role would suit an individual who likes a challenge, thinks strategically about revenue generation and has a strong track record of new business generation.

Key to this role will be identifying gaps in markets as well as suggesting, developing and implementing the correct products to suit customer needs.

We like to question assumptions to improve products and efficiencies.

Responsibilities 

• Take overarching commercial responsibility for account management of advertisers/ partners within their portfolio.
• External revenue reports (written and verbal) to the client and internal reports for the Commercial Partnership Director and Executive Directors.
• Develop and implement annual sales strategies for each client within their portfolio, including setting annual targets and reforecasting where necessary.
• Development of innovative, commercially sound ideas, working directly with clients to implement new initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of the advertising industry and trends.
• Ownership of liaison with Client Engagement team, Production and Finance teams as required.
• Working closely with the editorial teams to agree flatplans and ensure the content delivered on all channels has commercial appeal, as well as value to the audience.
• Use understanding of multiple accounts to inform innovation and efficiency across all accounts
• Attendance at key industry events.
• Management and development of sales team within their portfolio
• Whilst we will have an Ad Ops executive you retain ultimate responsibility for all adverts in magazines going to press and live on digital channels, from your portfolio.
